He was a 1952 graduate of Contentnea High School and was a self-employed automotive mechanic. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1800 where he held many positions of leadership and earned his Pilgrim Degree of Merit in 2004. He was also a member of the American Legion and served in the United States Army. From all of us at Crystal Coast Pain Management we would like to send our deepest sympathy to all of Mr Harper's family. Graveside services will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 at 11 a.m. From Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Mitchell officiating.

She was an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician, accountant, manager, CNA, and entrepreneur, and a beautiful human being inside and out who will be missed by all. She is also survived by her parents Neil and Myrtle Autry, her brother Larry Autry , sister Lorraine Smith, two step daughters Samantha Long, Tamra Sutton and many nieces and nephews. The entire family is grateful for your support and prayers. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8th from 1-3 pm with service beginning at 3 pm, at Cotten Funeral Home, 2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern NC. Nelia was born on February 14, 1948 in New Bern, NC to Neil and Myrtle Autry. She led a full life and was a blessing to everyone she met. She was proud of her children and grandchildren, always praising their accomplishments and providing love and encouragement. Nelia found her strength through her faith in Jesus Christ. She used her God-given voice and her testimony in His service for much of her life to help win souls for His kingdom, with a servant’s heart and an obvious love for others.
